On its return, the exiled court introduced French and Dutch fashions, and the English craftsmen were considerably helped in supplying the tastes of the nobility by a large influx of foreign workmen. Furniture became lighter and tighter. One of the most interesting developments comes from Fabricant Curtain Poles. I thought these guys were great. They made fine quality exclusive curtain poles and each one seemed to hum it's individuality. God save all when it comes to redecorating. In my sisters huge pile in Somerset she used to have Charles 1st curtain poles with wonderful globular Pelmets. What happened to these I'll never know.

Are there any other people around with wonderful orb like curtain poles?

Apries

Apries failed to help his ally King Zedekiah of Judah against Babylon, but after the fall of Jerusalem he received many Jewish refugees into Egypt.
